About the boundaries of the City of Padorn

The City of Padorn is the peaceful capital of the whole world. Many innocent travellers und unexperienced adventurers are visiting it to have a look at its beautiful sights or to earn some money peacefully trading goods from all over the world. Therefore those visitors do have a right to demand a superior protection of their health and their belongings.

Thus the basic fines raised for crimes commited inside the boundaries of the City of Padorn are usually significantly higher than those basic fines raised somewhere else in Primordia.

The boundaries of Padorn definitely include the city's gates, the walkway on top of the city's walls, the sewery system, and the harbour area.

Violation of Primordia's Security

There are some actions that are automatically estimated as a severe attempt to harm the public security of the Primordian society. Any member of society is encouraged to protect the public security against those actions, especially by supporting the Area Court in pursuing people performing them.

Actions violating the public security are:

  • Performing dark magic:
Performing dark magic is a severe case of violating the public security, since nearly all necromantic spells are bound to do some severe harm to innocent people.
  • Sacrificing any living being:
It is obvious that this is one of the most evil deeds existing. And it is obvious too, that it shall not be tolerated by a peaceful society.
  • Studying dark magic, especially studying the Necronomicon:
Since sooner or later anyone studying this foul art will be tempted to use his/her new knowledge, studying dark magic is undoubtedly a (future) violation of the public security.
  • Summoning beings from the lower plains:
Summoning evil beings from the lower plains, like imps, demons, or undeads, is a severe violation of the public security, since these beings are exclusively created to do evil deeds and thus undoubtedly will do them sooner or later. Therefore anyone is allowed to drive them back to the realm of eternal darkness they have crept up from.
  • Wearing an assassin's mask:
Wearing an assassin's mask, and thus hiding one's appearance, usually is a truely sign that the person wearing the mask is about to fullfill a job of murder. Therefore even wearing this mask is estimated to be a violation of the public security.
Each reported case of violating the public security is fined with a basic fine of 10 platinum coins payable to the Area Court of Primordia. The basic fine is doubled for violations commited inside the boundaries of the City of Padorn.

Any attempt of violating this law may be subject to severe punishment.

  • the Dome of Padorn,
  • the Temple of Rokoon in Padorn,
