Druids are often seen as forest dwellers. Living within deep forests, often never to set foot outside their own domain. However, that is a misconception. Druids are forces of nature, and nature does not know many boundaries. A druidís home is just as likely to be found in an arid desert or on an icy glacier, in a nasty swamp or in rolling hills. Druids find their homes wherever nature remains untouched. They do not favour human settlements and cities, not because they dislike other people, but because nature in such places is reduced, and the spirits saddened. That being said, druids can be seen within cities on occasions, - they just do not live there.
In the world of Xyllomer, Druids are not a typical guild. They are more a collection of individuals that share a unique view of the world. Their personalities are often vivid and different, but their roots remain in the belief that nature must remain clean and balanced.
For an outsider, they might appear common to priests or magic users. But if you ask a druid, they will tell you that nothing is further from the truth.
Nobody knows exactly how you become a druid, nor what all their capabilities are. If you ask a druid, they can not make you one, but some of the elder druids might guide you on the path.
However only you yourself, can forge your destiny.
Some of the known capabilities of the druids are that they have the ability to calm aggressive animals, befriend friendly animals, and even bond with animals for a long lasting companionship. They can also heal the nature after various attempts to ruin it, in addition to provide protection to other animals and people.
