Other gods
The warshrike gods ::top
There are five warshrike gods - which by themselves hold little to no
power. Their leader, Akai-Kurushi was granted his godly status by
Rokoon and the other Creators when he formed the alliance which
defeated the Old Ones, which were trying to defile the whole creation.
Since his mortal body was all but destroyed, Akai-Kurushi is unable
to form contact with more than a hand full of mortals. There is
exactly ONE priest, called Rohan, and only one 'follower' who at
times can sense His presence - the Jitsua of the Warshrike guild.
God of Alliance.
Symbol : the wiry amulet which also symbolizes the Warshrike alliance.
(4 silver circles in a square layout, held together by a 5th.)
Asgoth
Asgoth's goal is destruction. Little else pleases him. He lacks all
power of creation. Reason behind the destruction do not matter to him,
nor does he hold control in high regard.
He tries to take the vacant place of god of death, but has not met
much success, since moderating his destruction to control death is
beyond him.
Only within the alliance, where his drive for destruction is countered
by Oosama's need for honor, and Koranishaxx desire for rebirth can he
maintain a base of power.
God of destruction - Part of Warshrike alliance.

Oosama
Oosama is honor. Honor without moderation or limits. There is no excuse
for dishonor, and no reassoning may be applied to question the Honor.
He accepts only males as truly honorable.
For Oosama, the Alliance where the need to control destruction, as well
as the link to the blood of Xogina softens the strictures of honor is
the only way to keep the ability to intercede. Pure honor is stagnation -
there is no action without dishonor.

Koranishaxx
The main aspect of Koranishaxx is fire. The fire which destroys one order
of things, to give birth to another order. As Asgoths destruction, Koranishaxx
fire needs moderation lest the constant circle of rebirth prevent
forming of static structures. Forced to control the raw destruction, yet
imbued with the life and order bound into blood, Koranishaxx has become
a strong part of the Warshrike alliance.
For Koranishaxx, the alliance presents the only link to stability. Without
it, she would delve into the chaos of destruction and rebirth.
Goddess of Fire

Xogina
Xogina is the lady of the blood, and of all that resides within. She
contested the aspect of Beauty with Selyra, but was only able to control
the darker aspects of it. By herself, she would revel in the blood of
her followers and those her followers would sacrifice in her name, without
any goal whatsoever. For her, only females will ever be able to understand
the link between blood and beauty.
Within the alliance, the blood has become one of the binding factors,
infusing Koranishaxx with a measure of order, and granting escape to the
pure Honor of Oosama.

Huitzilopochtli
Huitzilopochtli has taken no part in creation. Neither has he accepted a
place in the pantheon at first. Instead, he has accepted the bloody worship
of a small group of mortals living deep in the Yucatan jungle. In the
twisted mmythology of the cult, Hutzliopochtli is the one responsible for
rising the sun from its nightly resting place. To do so, he requires
power given to him in mortal sacrifices. To sacrifice the own life is
an honor for all true believers in Huitzliopochtli.
After a cataclysmic struggle, he has joined the Pantheon as the Sungod.
Symbols : Sun, Hummingbird.

the conflict between Hutzliopochtli and Rokoon openened a rift in the
sphere. Through this rift, he corrupted a part of magic, forming
necromancy. Bhaal holds no holy power on xyllomer - he does not
desire this power and has no priests.
Driving goal of Bhaal is destruction of "normal" magic.

Balance
Balance in the world is maintained only through a pact which all gods
agreed to, lest they destroy the world with their struggles.
Part of the pact is that they may NEVER directly intercede. They may
grant a mortal the power to do miracles, but that power is limited
by the faith the mortals have in the respective god. The limits to the
powers of those miracles was agreed upon between all gods, and none of
them dare to cross the pact - the risk of sundering the earth is too
great.
Only Bhaal did not submit to the limits imposed by the pact. They do not
apply to him, since his powers do not depend on his followers. He does not
act directly at all, but used most of his might to corrupt magic - a
power now wielded by a group of faithful apostates - the necromancers.
Bhaal will not grant any miracle to any priest.
Favour
Favour measures how the mortals stand in the eyes of the gods. Favour has to
be gained through actions. Visiting and calling sermons for a god as well as
donating to a gods cause will grant favour.
Favour is required to be granted miracles by the gods. Favour is also
required for resurrections not called for by player priests.
Mortals
The mortals are divided into 5 basic groups :
Atheists ::top
They negate the gods - all of them. They will not be granted any
aid by either of the gods, nor will they be able to accumulate faith or favour.
Those sworn to Bhaal would fall into this category. There is NO path back from
atheism. Once a mortal has truly become an atheist, anything done by any
cleric will be explainable through magic or science. All gods consider the
atheists to be renegates and mourn the loss of their souls.
Believers
All mortals start out as believers. They believe that the gods exist - all of
them. They might claim to follow one stronger than the others, but in the end,
they embrace the whole pantheon. Most players will not leave the status of
believer.
Followers
Followers are those who dedicate themselves to aid one god to extend his or
her influence on teh world. A ritual is necessary to become follower of a god.
Though it is possible to forsake one's chosen god, there is no second chance.
Those who have forsaken one god will never be anythung but believers. As
result of forsaking a god, the ability to gain favour from this god is removed.
Followers will be able to reach higher levels of favour for "their" god, but
lower values for all other gods. They will also never entierly loose their
faith.
Warriors of the Gods
Members of a warrior guild which dedicate themselves to one god. Examples for
this are Warshrikes, Asgoth warriors and Eagle warriors, but not Satais.
Warriors of the gods will gain a certain level of support by the gods,
depending on their favour. They can gather more favour than Followers, but
have to watch their faith - it can falter, rendering them unable to pray for
aid.
Those who chose the path of a warrior of a god may never become priests.
Should they leave their guild, they will most likely keep the status as
Followers. Forsaking their god has the same effects as for followers.
(Note : There is one exception - A Warshrike who becomes Jitsua has to pledge
himself to Akai-Kurushi. Since Akai-Kurushi is leading the warshrike alliance,
this is not considered forsaking.)
Priests
Priests are those attuned best to their gods. Becoming a priest is a choice
for life. Once a mortal has chosen to serve a god as priest, the path back is
blockced. Leaving priesthood is always considered forsaking one's gods and
carries teh same penalties.
Two paths should exist towards full priesthood :
Path A - becoming a follower, learning about the god, then being accepted
as a priest.
Path B - becoming a priest to the Pantheon. Priests of the pantheon will learn
what it means to be priest before having to choose whom to serve. Stepping
back from being Priest of the Pantheon is not considered forsaking anyone
since it is the path of trial and training. Priests of the pantheon have
access to miracles granted by all gods, but the high powered miracles are
barred from them.
