About Theft

Any kind of theft is absolutely forbidden in the world of Xyllomer.

A victim of theft generally has got two options.

  • He/She may force the return of the stolen items by himself/herself.

  • He/She may accuse the thief at the court and thus leave it to the court to make further steps.

If the thief is found guilty, he/she will be sentenced to a basic fine of 10 platinum coins payable to the City of Padorn and a further compensation of 200 % - 400 % of the worth of the stolen items payable to his/her victim. If one or more of the stolen items are difficult to restore by the victim, the thief may be sentenced to restore and return the items in question by himself/herself as well.

Mind that the choice of options is exclusive.

If the victim chooses the first opportunity, he/she is expected to act as follows.

  1. He/She has to track down the thief.
  2. He/She has to accuse the thief of the crime directly and request the return of the stolen items.

If the thief denies the crime or declines the return of the stolen items, the victim may attack the thief in stunmode and, after knocking him/her out, recover the stolen items. In addition the victim may take all coins from the thief's inventory as a compensation for the trouble.

Mind that the thief has got the right to defend his/her life by any means after the victim has chosen to attack. Thus if the victim dies after attacking the thief, this is no case of playerkill at all. On the other hand killing the thief may be prosecuted as playerkill by the court.
