Spirits and Elements

Spirits are the living fabric of the world. They reside in anything and everything. Small or large, primate or evolved, they still stem from the same matter. The environment which the spirits live within, affects them, and ties a bond between them, and one of the five elements. A short description of the elements is listed below.

  • Water
The element of Water is often synonymous with persistence. As wave after wave crashes towards the shore, a single wave is not threatening, but with time, even the most steadfast landmarks are swept away by the persistence of the waves.

Water invocations are often somehow related to survival.

  • Air
The element of Air represents swiftness and change. As winds travel large distances in little time, they introduce new elements into the lands, and bring change.

Air invocations are often somehow related to weather and speed.

  • Earth
The element of Earth represents strength and hardiness. Like the bark of an oak protects its inner from danger, and the rocks give shelter to animals, the earth is also one of nature’s most formidable weapons.

Earth invocations are often either offensive, or related to protection.

  • Fire
The element of Fire represents light, life, and rebirth. As the sun grants life, fire cleanses the land so that new life can prosper. However, nothing comes without a cost, and fire is often a painful solution to a problem.

Fire is an ingredient in many varied invocations.

  • Spirit
The element of Spirit enters the domain of the animals and mankind. It represents awareness and Free will.

Spirit invocations often relate to communication with other spirits, or as a weapon against twisted or dead spirits (undead).
